Is the reporter - anonymous so far - willing to be contacted to amplify their report? Having said that, the email report is unfortunately typical of its kind. The screensaver (and especially the most commonly-used screensaver) is both an incentive for individual users to run BOINC, and an important recruitment tool where BOINC can be exhibited in public venues. I think this is an important component to consider as BOINC maintenance and development ramps up again.
